Ministry: Russia sows less than planned to winter crops in 2022
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) – Russia has sown 17.7 million hectares to winter crops compared to a 19 million hectare plan for 2022 because of weather problems, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The winter crop sown area amounts to 17.7 million hectares, according to preliminary data,” the statement read.
“This is below the plan because of the weather in the central part of Russia and the Volga zone, but, according to the minister, the remaining area will be sown in spring, and the area structure will remain."
